“You Should Write a Blog”

I don’t know how many times you’ve told me this, yes, you, my sister, my friend, my life cheering squads , “you should write a blog.”  I admit, I really didn’t think I had anything to say. Yeah, I’m a writer but I write short stories, scripts, freelance articles on arts and culture… I journal… I don’t blog.

I mean, really who would read me and what could I possibly have to say.   How about, a lot!  Realization! (I’ll be having many of these) I observe ample, have much to share  and loads to vent and discuss. Don’t we all – but now you’ll hear it from me right here.

So a quick pre-Oscar Kudos list (because one day I’ll have one)  Mom and Dad you birthed me – that’s enough. My sisters -Cormelle your style inspires, Cass you’re a natural conqueror, big bro – you tell me how funny I really am and lil bro (bo) I’ve loved you since we heard there’d be 7 instead of 6  - i kiss you with my words. Cousin – it just runs in the family ha! I love our network sessions.

Ash we’re just two dreamers, Lora my alter ego and lovable cynic, F you just get me, Meek too far back for words, Brit my champ and supporter. “The Del” just a true childhood freind for life, the definite article makes me laugh but you always do. 

Ebony, the first voice for me to do this, Dru you slid your sound to second, Anne a definitive third and homerun.

The Mays oh – sweet relief, Jen, thanks for the reminder after a long absence  of how good it feels to hear home in another soul, Amp, you bring me UP. Rhonda my kindred spirit. Ko you’re my second pair of eyes,  Alicia you’ve given me so much love HUGS and 113. Gratitude to L.A. for sunshining me, N.Y. for energizing me and the world for daring me.

Masai, you’ve mentored from our first conversation. Deb no longer my boss but my aunt. Love, you always burn for me.  Life, you fanatically tap me to awaken every day.
